“Katia knows how to speak directly to the nervous system through the way of the body.”
When Katia was six years old she received her first yoga class from her teacher Mary Ryan (her nana). This practice grew and evolved until she went for her own 200hr yoga teacher training in 2019 at the world-renowned Kripalu School of Yoga. Since then she has led hundreds of classes and retreats to those worldwide. Her class is rooted in alignment, focuses on breath work, and weaves together her love of movement and beat. Her teachers include Josie Schweitzer, Beth Cooke, and Mary Ryan.
“Her guidance is intuitive, and she has a remarkable ability to meet me where I am .”
“Katia knows how to speak directly to the nervous system through the way of the body. I’ve been a student of hers since 2020. I call upon the wisdom she has bestowed upon me through her classes often. Her ability to intuit, create and convey love through movement moves me to deepen my practice on and off the mat. She makes movement accessible and intuitive… she allows students to explore their bodies and provides guidance. Her voice and inner knowing shines through every cue and flow. I am grateful for her ability to allow me to access the waters of my body through movement.” - Lindsay
“I have been attending Katia’s class for years. The energy of her classes is calming and intentional, which has been transformative for my yoga practice. As a teacher, Katia takes time to get to know her students, allowing for a warm and nurturing feeling that makes every class feel like a safe and sacred place. She has this ability to bring your intention for the practice to the forefront making every class feel uniquely personalized to what I need in the moment. Her guidance is intuitive, and she has a remarkable ability to meet me where I am at.Thank you.” - Langley
